Dotting Drop In!

Friday 1st November 10am to 3pm Cantine, 285 Fleet Road, Fleet, GU51 3BT

A great opportunity to experiment with the fun activity of Dot Art. Adults and children will be able to use dotting tools to decorate a wooden plaque (materials supplied for a donation to Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice) or to create a beautiful Christmas bauble (cost £5). Come along and enjoy the fab atmosphere of Cantine while learning a new activity. Hope to see you there!

Dot Art is a style of painting created by the dotting of paint, rather than brush strokes.  In its finest form, it is called Pointillism, where very small, distinct dots of pure colour are applied in patterns to form an image. In Dot Art, the dots are traditionally applied with a stick, but various instruments can be used - the bottom of a pencil, a stylus, rods...I use the bottom of wooden crochet hooks! The dots vary in size and colour, and are applied to a surface to create beautiful patterns and designs. The versatility of this art form allows you to experiment on many different materials - wood, slate, paper, canvas and many more. It is the most relaxing and mindful activity I have ever found over the years.
