From colourful resin artwork to unique upcycled furniture, Martha's Marketplace is fuelled by passion and inspired by artistic experimentation. Each item is the result of spur-of-the-moment creativity, be it the result of combining different colours of epoxy resin or spotting an eye-catching piece of jewellery at a market.
It's a diverse collection, brought together by what I love creating and find beautiful.
Hello, I'm Jenny.
Art for me has always been a form of therapy. While working full time in a challenging role as a drama teacher and charity development manager, I first tried upcycling furniture back in 2015 as a creative outlet to help me unwind. Before long I found myself hooked on both the soothing act of painting and the satisfaction of seeing the finished result.
Retirement came in 2020, as did Covid with its restrictions, and I began making fabric wreaths for family and friends. Before long it was a small business that flourished.
Resin art became my next passion following some training, and I found that I absolutely loved it. In January 2024, I began my handcrafted jewellery 'journey', designing and making unique pieces created with sterling silver and copper.
Bringing all of my skills together in an online business seemed like the next logical step, and so Martha's Marketplace was born.
This website is my personal gallery, a vibrant space where everything I love to create comes together. From unique upcycled furniture to handcrafted fabric wreaths, stunning resin art pieces, and soon, a captivating jewellery collection, it's a testament to the endless possibilities of creative expression.
Jewellery design and metalwork are the latest adventures.
This will come together with a line of handmade jewellery, coming in September 2024 – watch this space!

I am so pleased I bought this silver bracelet. It looks so delicate, but is a strong silver circle, perfectly curved in waves. Accompanies my other silver bracelets, worn together beautifully.

I fell in love with the vibrant colour and flowing pattern on this resin topped table plus it's a handy size and height to put by an armchair or sofa.

The Spring wreath is so pretty. It looks lovely on the door, and the colours are just as promised. Well packaged, too.
